Sled Push (Sled)

Also called Sled Push

How to do it

Stand behind the sled with both hands firmly on the posts, lean forward, and brace your trunk. Drive the sled forward with short powerful steps, keep the hips moving, then stop under control at the end of the lane before resetting.

Setup

Load the sled on a clear, consistent surface and place both hands at equal height on the posts. Use a staggered athletic stance, straight wrists, braced arms, and a forward body angle.

Where you should feel it

Primarily in the quads, glutes, and calves, with the hamstrings, shoulders, arms, and core transmitting force into the sled.

When to use it

Use for lower-body power endurance, conditioning, and HYROX-specific preparation. Compare load and distance only on the same surface.
