Reverse Crunch (Cable)

Also called Cable Reverse Crunch

How to do it

Attach secure ankle cuffs to a low cable, lie on your back facing away from the anchor, and begin with hips and knees bent. Curl the knees toward the chest and roll the pelvis slightly from the floor, then lower the pelvis and legs slowly without arching the back or letting the stack rest.

Setup

Attach two secure ankle cuffs or a purpose-built dual-foot strap to the low cable and lie facing away with the line pulling the feet away from the torso. Brace the hands, ribs, and pelvis before lifting.

Where you should feel it

Across the lower abdominal wall as the pelvis curls against the cable, with the hip flexors bringing the thighs inward. Keep the load light enough to avoid leg swinging.

When to use it

Use for progressively loaded reverse-crunch strength with continuous resistance. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps fit well.
