Reverse Crunch (Resistance Band)
How to do it
Anchor the band low behind your feet and secure it around both feet or ankles while lying on your back facing away from the anchor. Curl the knees toward the chest and roll the pelvis off the floor against the band, then lower slowly without arching the back. Keep the band secure throughout.
Setup
Secure the band to a low anchor beyond the feet so it pulls the legs away from the torso, then use a safe dual-foot loop or ankle cuffs. Lie facing away, brace the hands, and control the ribs and pelvis.
Where you should feel it
Across the lower abdominal wall as the pelvis curls against rising band tension, with the hip flexors bringing the thighs inward. Control the return and avoid leg swing.
When to use it
Use for portable loaded reverse-crunch work or higher-repetition abdominal volume. Smooth sets of 10-20 reps suit the band resistance.
