Standing Leg Curl (Resistance Band)
Also called Leg Curl (Resistance Band)
How to do it
Anchor a resistance band securely at floor level and loop it above one ankle, then stand tall holding a stable support. Keep the thighs aligned and pelvis level as you curl the working heel toward the glute, squeeze the hamstring, then lower slowly without letting the band snap back. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.
Setup
Anchor the band low behind you and stand far enough away for tension with the working knee straight. Loop it above one ankle, hold a stable support, brace the planted foot, keep the torso tall, hips square, and working thigh still.
Where you should feel it
Along the hamstrings of the working leg with band tension changing through the curl and some calf assistance, while the core, glutes, and outer hips stabilize the pelvis. Avoid swinging.
When to use it
Use for portable unilateral hamstring activation and higher-repetition knee-flexion work. Perform 12-25 smooth reps per side.
