Step-Up (Kettlebell)
Also called Kettlebell Step-Up, KB Step-Up
How to do it
Hold one kettlebell in a goblet position or matched kettlebells at the sides and place one whole foot on a stable box. Drive through that foot to stand fully on top without pushing excessively from the trailing leg, then step down slowly with the same leg leading. Complete the set and repeat with the other leg.
Setup
Choose a stable box height that allows full-foot contact. Secure one kettlebell at the chest or matched bells at the sides, keep wrists neutral, hips square, torso braced, and lead knee aligned.
Where you should feel it
Primarily through the lead-leg quad and glute, with the hamstrings and calf assisting while the core and hip stabilizers level the pelvis and the forearms secure the kettlebells.
When to use it
Use for compact unilateral loading with flexible goblet or suitcase positions. Perform 8-15 controlled reps per side.
