Farmer's Carry (Kettlebell)

Also called Kettlebell Farmer's Carry, Farmer's Walk, Farmers Walk, KB Farmer's Carry

How to do it

Stand between two kettlebells, hinge to grip both handles, and stand tall with one bell at each side. Walk the prescribed distance using short controlled steps while keeping your shoulders level, ribs stacked, and bells quiet, then stop and hinge to park both bells safely.

Setup

Place two equal kettlebells just outside your feet, hinge with a neutral spine, and grip both handles securely. Stand with arms straight, wrists neutral, shoulders down, and the bells clear of your legs before walking.

Where you should feel it

In both hands and forearms, with the traps, trunk, hips, and legs maintaining tall posture under the bilateral load. If the bells swing, shoulders shrug excessively, or steps become uneven, reduce the load.

When to use it

Use for bilateral grip endurance, total-body bracing, and loaded walking. Program by distance or time with loads heavy enough to challenge posture without shortening or distorting your gait.
