Glute Bridge (Cable)
Also called Cable Glute Bridge, Low-Pulley Glute Bridge
How to do it
Lie on the floor with knees bent, feet flat, and a padded low-cable belt or attachment secured evenly across your hips. Drive through both feet to raise your hips until your body aligns from knees to shoulders, squeeze your glutes, then lower under control without arching your back.
Setup
Position yourself so the low cable tracks evenly across your hip creases, secure a padded belt or attachment, and plant both feet with shins near vertical at the top. Keep the cable centered and your ribs down.
Where you should feel it
In both glutes at the top and through the loaded return, with the hamstrings assisting. If the cable shifts, hamstrings cramp, or lower back arches, stop and reset the belt, foot position, or range.
When to use it
Use for floor-based glute volume with continuous tension and small load adjustments. It provides a lower-range alternative to the bench-supported cable hip thrust and suits controlled sets of roughly 10-20 reps.
