Pull-Through (Cable)
Also called Cable Pull-Through
How to do it
Face away from a low pulley with a rope held between your legs. Step forward for tension, push your hips backward into a hinge with a neutral spine, then drive your hips forward to stand tall and squeeze your glutes. Return under control without turning the movement into a squat.
Setup
Attach a rope to a low pulley, face away, and hold one end in each hand between the legs. Step forward until the cable stays tensioned, set the feet around hip width, soften the knees, keep the arms long, and brace a neutral spine.
Where you should feel it
Through the glutes and hamstrings as the hips extend, while the lower back and core keep the spine neutral and the forearms hold the rope. Avoid a knee-dominant squat or leaning backward at lockout.
When to use it
Use for cable-loaded bilateral hinge practice and posterior-chain hypertrophy with tension that encourages the hips backward. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps work well.
