Pull-Through (Machine)
How to do it
Face away from the machine and hold both low handles between your legs with the arms extended. Push the hips backward into a hinge while keeping the spine neutral, then drive the hips forward to stand tall and squeeze the glutes. Return slowly by sending the hips back without turning the movement into a squat or arm pull.
Setup
Adjust the machine handles to the lowest position and stand facing away with one handle in each hand between the legs. Step forward for tension, set the feet around hip width, soften the knees, keep the arms long, and brace the torso.
Where you should feel it
Through the glutes and hamstrings along the guided hinge path, while the lower back and core maintain a neutral spine and the forearms hold the handles. Avoid excessive knee bend or back extension.
When to use it
Use for stable bilateral posterior-chain volume when the machine provides a low resistance path and simple load progression. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps fit well.
