Pullover (Machine)

Also called Pullover (Gym Machine)

How to do it

Adjust the seat and pads so your shoulders align with the machine pivot and secure your torso. With a slight fixed elbow bend, pull the handles in an arc from overhead toward your hips, squeeze your lats, then return slowly to a controlled overhead stretch. Keep your ribs down and avoid using momentum.

Setup

Adjust the seat so your shoulders align with the machine pivot and secure your torso under the pad. Place your elbows or hands evenly on the lever and begin with the ribs down in a comfortable overhead stretch.

Where you should feel it

Mostly through the lats as you drive the lever toward your hips, with the chest contributing from the stretched start. The fixed path should not force painful shoulder range.

When to use it

Use for stable lat-focused volume when you want to train close to fatigue without grip or balance limiting the set. It fits well in the 8-15 rep range.
