Pullover (Resistance Band)

How to do it

Anchor the band overhead behind you and lie on a bench gripping it with both hands, arms extended. Lower it back in an arc for a lat and chest stretch, then pull it back over your chest.

Setup

Anchor the band securely behind and above the bench, then hold it evenly with both hands. Begin with tension overhead, straight wrists, ribs down, and a soft elbow bend that stays fixed.

Where you should feel it

Through the lats and chest as tension rises toward the end of the pulling arc, with the core holding the rib cage still. Avoid letting the band snap the arms back overhead.

When to use it

Use for portable pullover practice, warm-ups, or higher-repetition lat and chest volume. The rising resistance works best with smooth sets of 12-20 reps.
