Leg Extension (Cable)
How to do it
Attach an ankle cuff to a low cable and sit on a stable bench facing away from the pulley with one knee bent. Keep the thigh still as you extend the cuffed knee until the leg is nearly straight, squeeze the quadriceps, then bend the knee slowly against the cable. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.
Setup
Place a stable bench far enough from the low pulley to maintain cable tension and attach the cuff securely above one ankle. Sit tall holding the bench, keep the working thigh supported and knee aligned forward.
Where you should feel it
Across the quadriceps of the working leg as the knee straightens, with the core holding the torso and thigh steady. Avoid swinging the hip or kicking through the top.
When to use it
Use for unilateral quadriceps accessory work, side-to-side assessment, and continuous-tension sets. Perform 10-20 controlled reps per side.
