Incline Fly (Machine)

How to do it

Lie back on an incline fly machine and grip the handles with arms wide. Sweep the handles up and together in an arc over your chest, squeezing the pecs, then return slowly to a stretch.

Setup

Adjust the incline seat and start position so the handles align with the upper chest and the shoulders match the machine pivots. Keep the back supported, feet planted, and elbows softly bent.

Where you should feel it

Across the upper chest along the supported fly path, with the front shoulders assisting. Correct the seat or shorten the return if the shoulders feel pinched.

When to use it

Use for stable upper-chest volume close to fatigue when free-weight balance should not limit the set. Controlled sets of 10-20 reps fit well.
