Standing Chest Press (Machine)

How to do it

Stand at the machine with both handles beside the chest and take the prescribed stable stance. Press both handles forward until the elbows are extended, squeeze the chest, then return slowly along the guided path without letting the weight stack rest or the torso lean backward.

Setup

Adjust the machine handles to mid-chest height and stand centered in its resistance path. Use a staggered or shoulder-width stance as designed, hold neutral wrists, keep elbows slightly below shoulders, ribs stacked, and feet braced.

Where you should feel it

Across the chest along the guided press path, with the front delts and triceps assisting while the core, glutes, and calves keep the standing body stable.

When to use it

Use for stable standing chest hypertrophy with a guided path and simple load progression. Controlled sets of 8-20 reps fit well.
