Standing Chest Press (Resistance Band)

How to do it

Anchor two sides of a resistance band securely behind you at mid-chest height, hold one end in each hand, and take a stable staggered stance. Press both hands straight forward to full elbow extension, squeeze the chest, then return slowly without letting the band snap back or pull the torso backward.

Setup

Anchor the band securely at chest height with equal lengths and step forward into a staggered stance. Hold the ends beside the chest with neutral wrists, elbows slightly below shoulders, ribs stacked, and enough starting tension for control.

Where you should feel it

Across the chest with band tension increasing as the hands press forward, while the front delts and triceps assist and the core, glutes, and calves stabilize the stance.

When to use it

Use for portable standing chest activation and higher-repetition pressing. Smooth sets of 12-25 reps suit the rising band resistance.
