Hip Extension (Digital Resistance)
Also called Digital Resistance Hip Extension
How to do it
Attach an ankle cuff to the low digital-resistance cable and stand facing the unit while holding a support. Drive the cuffed leg backward from the hip without arching your lower back, squeeze the glute, then return under control across the resistance. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.
Setup
Attach a secure ankle cuff to the low digital-resistance cable, face the unit, and hold a fixed support with both hips square. Keep the supporting knee soft, the cable clear of your legs, and your ribs stacked over your pelvis.
Where you should feel it
Primarily in the working-side glute during the drive and programmed return, with mild hamstring assistance. If the pelvis turns or lower back arches, reduce resistance and shorten the range.
When to use it
Use for programmable unilateral glute work with controlled resistance and quick side-to-side load changes. It suits deliberate accessory sets after compound lower-body training.
