Bent Over Row (Dumbbell)

Also called Bent Over Two-Row (Dumbbell), DB Bent Over Row

How to do it

Hold a dumbbell in each hand and hinge forward at the hips with a flat back, arms hanging straight down. Row both dumbbells up to your ribs, squeezing your shoulder blades together, then lower with control.

Setup

Hinge to roughly 45 degrees, flat back, a bell in each hand hanging under the shoulders with palms facing in.

Where you should feel it

Between the shoulder blades, with more lat involvement than the barbell version because the bells can travel past the ribs.

When to use it

Row variation for range and side-to-side balance. Sits well in the 8-12 range, or as the second pull after a heavy barbell row.
