Row (Kettlebell)

Also called Kettlebell Row, KB Row

How to do it

Support yourself as needed and hinge forward holding one kettlebell with your free arm extended. Pull the bell toward your hip by driving your elbow back without rotating your torso, then lower it under control to full arm extension. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.

Setup

Brace one hand on a bench or take a stable staggered hinge, then hold one kettlebell beneath the working shoulder with the handle sitting securely across your palm. Square your hips and shoulders before pulling.

Where you should feel it

Along the working-side lat and between the shoulder blade and spine, with the biceps assisting and the trunk resisting the bell’s offset pull. Torso rotation means the load or stance needs adjustment.

When to use it

Use for unilateral back work when a kettlebell is the available load or when its compact offset shape suits the setup. It works well for controlled sets of roughly 8-15 reps per side.
