Belt Squat (Digital Resistance)
Also called Digital Resistance Belt Squat, XR-Gear Belt Squat
How to do it
Fasten the belt low around the hips and attach it to the low digital-resistance anchor so the load pulls straight down between the feet. Sit down between the hips to depth with the torso tall, then drive through the whole foot to stand. Digital resistance holds the load through the whole range, so expect no easy point at the top.
Setup
Belt low on the hips, resistance anchored low and centred between the feet. Feet shoulder width, toes slightly out, arms free at the sides.
Where you should feel it
Quads and glutes, with the spine unloaded. Constant tension means the top of the rep works as hard as the bottom, unlike a free-weight squat.
When to use it
Spine-sparing quad and glute work on XR-Gear hardware, and a squat option when the lower back needs a break. The constant load suits higher-rep sets and controlled tempo work.
