Reverse Wrist Curl (Cable)

Also called Cable Reverse Wrist Curl, Palms-Down Wrist Curl (Cable)

How to do it

Sit facing a low pulley with both forearms fully supported on a bench, palms down, and hold a straight bar with the wrists just past the support. Extend both wrists to raise the backs of the hands, squeeze the top of the forearms, then lower slowly against the cable to a comfortable stretch without moving the elbows.

Setup

Attach a straight bar to the low pulley and align a bench so the cable runs freely. Support both forearms from elbow to wrist, hold an even overhand grip, let only the hands extend past the edge, and maintain tension at the start.

Where you should feel it

Along the top/outside of both forearms under continuous cable tension as the wrists extend and return. Keep the elbows and forearms completely supported.

When to use it

Use for bilateral wrist-extensor volume with continuous tension and small load increments. Perform 12-30 slow repetitions.
