Close-Grip Lat Pulldown (Resistance Band)

Also called V-Bar Pulldown (Resistance Band), Band V-Bar Pulldown

How to do it

Anchor a resistance band overhead and kneel or sit facing it, gripping a handle in each hand with arms extended. Pull the handles down to your upper chest, driving elbows in close, then extend back up under control.

Setup

Anchor the band securely overhead and kneel or sit directly beneath it. Hold both ends close together with equal tension, wrists neutral, chest tall, and shoulders down.

Where you should feel it

Down both lats and through the biceps with resistance highest near the stretched top, while the rear delts assist. Control the band overhead without shrugging.

When to use it

Use for portable close-grip vertical pulling, pull-up preparation, warm-ups, or higher-repetition back work. Smooth sets of 12-20 reps fit well.
