Straight Arm Pulldown (Digital Resistance)

Also called Digital Resistance Straight Arm Pulldown

How to do it

Stand facing a high digital-resistance cable and hold the bar with straight arms and a slight fixed elbow bend. Pull the bar in an arc toward your thighs by drawing your shoulders down and engaging your lats, then return slowly overhead to a controlled stretch. Keep your torso still and avoid turning it into a triceps pressdown.

Setup

Set the digital-resistance cables high and attach a straight bar or matched handles. Stand centered with arms raised, wrists neutral, elbows softly bent and fixed, shoulders down, knees soft, torso braced, and cable lengths matched.

Where you should feel it

Along both lats during the downward arc and programmed return, with some long-head triceps assistance and the forearms and core maintaining alignment. Keep the elbow angle unchanged.

When to use it

Use for programmable bilateral lat volume and eccentric shoulder-extension control without elbow flexion. Favor controlled sets of 10-20 reps.
