Underhand Pulldown (Resistance Band)

Also called Underhand Pulldowns (Resistance Band), Band Underhand Pulldown, Reverse-Grip Lat Pulldown (Resistance Band)

How to do it

Anchor a resistance band securely overhead and kneel or sit holding both ends with palms facing you and arms extended. Pull the hands toward the upper chest by driving the elbows down beside the ribs, squeeze the lats, then return slowly overhead without losing tension or shrugging.

Setup

Anchor the band securely overhead and kneel or sit centered beneath it. Hold both ends with equal tension, palms toward you, wrists straight, shoulders down, chest tall, and stance braced.

Where you should feel it

Down both lats and strongly through the biceps, with resistance highest near the stretched top and the rear delts assisting. The forearms and core maintain the grip and posture.

When to use it

Use for portable supinated-grip vertical pulling, warm-ups, and higher-repetition back and biceps work. Smooth sets of 12-20 reps fit well.
