Box Squat (Resistance Band)
Also called Band Box Squat, Resistance Band Box Squat
How to do it
Stand on the center of a resistance band, hold both ends evenly at shoulder height, and position just ahead of a stable box. Sit the hips back and down to controlled box contact, pause without relaxing or rocking, then drive through the whole feet to stand as band tension rises. Keep the knees aligned.
Setup
Set a stable box at the target depth, stand evenly on the band just ahead of it, and hold both ends at the shoulders. Keep the band secure, wrists neutral, torso braced, feet around shoulder width, and knees tracking over the toes.
Where you should feel it
Through the quads and glutes with band tension increasing toward standing, while the hamstrings, adductors, and calves assist and the core, lower back, and forearms stabilize the load.
When to use it
Use for portable box-squat practice and higher-repetition leg work with accommodating resistance. Smooth sets of 12-20 reps work well without collapsing onto the box.
