Decline Triceps Extension (Resistance Band)
Also called Banded Decline Triceps Extension
How to do it
Set a bench around 15-20 degrees decline, secure your legs, and anchor a band low behind the head end. Lie back holding both ends above your shoulders with elbows fixed. Bend the elbows to lower the hands behind or near the head, then extend to lockout and return slowly against the band.
Setup
Secure the band low behind the head end of the decline bench and match both sides. Hold the ends with neutral wrists, keep the upper arms fixed, and verify the band cannot contact sharp edges.
Where you should feel it
Through both triceps with resistance increasing toward lockout, while the front shoulders stabilize the upper arms. Control the band and keep it clear of the face.
When to use it
Use for portable decline-angle triceps work, warm-ups, or higher-repetition volume. Smooth sets of 12-25 reps suit the rising resistance.
