Incline Triceps Extension (Cable)

Also called Cable Incline Triceps Extension

How to do it

Set the bench to 30–60° — steeper sits you more upright, shallower puts more stretch on the triceps long head overhead. Lie back facing away from a high pulley with a straight bar attachment, arms extended overhead. Bend at the elbows to lower the bar behind your head, then extend to full lockout through the triceps.

Setup

Set an incline bench around 30-60 degrees facing away from the pulley and align a high cable with the space behind your head. Hold the attachment evenly with straight wrists and upper arms fixed overhead.

Where you should feel it

Through both triceps during the extension and continuous stretched return, with the front shoulders stabilizing the upper arms. Keep the elbows pointed forward.

When to use it

Use for long-head triceps hypertrophy with continuous tension and an adjustable bench angle. Controlled sets of 10-20 reps work well.
