Kickback (Resistance Band)

How to do it

Anchor a resistance band behind you and hold it in one hand while hinging slightly with the upper arm pinned beside your torso. Extend the elbow until the arm is straight, squeeze the triceps, then bend the elbow slowly against the band tension. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.

Setup

Secure the band low behind you and step forward until it has light tension with the elbow bent. Hinge with a neutral spine, keep the wrist straight, and pin the working upper arm beside the torso.

Where you should feel it

In the working triceps with resistance increasing toward full extension, while the rear shoulder and trunk keep the upper arm still. Control the band through the entire return.

When to use it

Use for portable unilateral triceps work, warm-ups, or higher-repetition finishers. Smooth sets of 12-25 reps suit the rising resistance.
