Overhead Extension (Machine)

How to do it

Sit at the machine and grip the handles with arms bent overhead. Extend your forearms upward until arms are straight, then lower with control back to the start.

Setup

Adjust the seat and back support so the elbows align with the machine pivot and begin comfortably bent overhead. Hold both handles evenly with straight wrists and shoulders relaxed.

Where you should feel it

Through both triceps along the supported overhead path, with the front shoulders maintaining upper-arm position. Stop before any forced elbow or shoulder range.

When to use it

Use for stable long-head triceps volume close to fatigue when torso balance should not limit the set. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps work well.
