Overhead Extension (Resistance Band)
Also called Triceps Extension (Resistance Band)
How to do it
Anchor the band at your feet or below and raise both hands overhead with elbows bent behind your head. Extend upward until arms are straight, then lower slowly under control.
Setup
Anchor the band securely beneath your feet or low behind you and hold both ends overhead. Match the band length, keep wrists neutral, elbows forward, upper arms still, and ribs down.
Where you should feel it
Through both triceps with resistance increasing toward lockout, while the front shoulders and core stabilize the overhead position. Control the band through the return.
When to use it
Use for portable long-head triceps work, warm-ups, or higher-repetition finishers. Smooth sets of 12-25 reps suit the rising resistance.
