Rope Pushdown (Digital Resistance)

Also called Digital Resistance Rope Pushdown

How to do it

Set the digital-resistance cable high and hold the rope ends with your elbows tucked beside your torso. Extend both elbows to press the rope down, separate the ends slightly at lockout, then return under control until your forearms rise without letting your upper arms drift forward.

Setup

Set the digital-resistance cable high and attach a rope. Stand facing the unit with feet stable, hold one end in each hand with neutral wrists, pin the elbows beside the ribs, and keep the shoulders down.

Where you should feel it

Through both triceps during the press and programmed return, with the forearms securing the rope and the core holding the torso still. Avoid letting the elbows drift forward.

When to use it

Use for programmable bilateral triceps volume and eccentric control with a neutral grip. Favor controlled sets of 8-20 reps.
