Triceps Pushdown (Machine)

Also called Tricep Pushdown (Machine)

How to do it

Stand facing the machine and hold both pushdown handles with an overhand or prescribed grip, elbows pinned beside the torso. Extend both elbows until the arms are straight, squeeze the triceps, then let the handles rise slowly to the starting bend without letting the upper arms drift or the stack rest.

Setup

Adjust the machine handles so they begin around lower-chest height. Stand centered with wrists straight, elbows beside the ribs, shoulders down, feet stable, and torso tall and braced.

Where you should feel it

Through both triceps along the guided resistance path, with the forearms securing the handles and the core preventing rocking. Keep the shoulders and upper arms fixed.

When to use it

Use for stable bilateral triceps hypertrophy with a guided path and simple load progression. Controlled sets of 8-20 reps fit well.
