Triceps Pushdown (Resistance Band)
Also called Tricep Pushdown (Resistance Band)
How to do it
Anchor a resistance band securely overhead and hold both ends or a short bar with an overhand grip around shoulder width. Pin both elbows beside the ribs, extend them until the arms are straight, squeeze the triceps, then return slowly without letting the band snap upward or the upper arms drift forward.
Setup
Anchor the band overhead and stand far enough away to create tension at the bent-elbow start. Hold the ends evenly or use a short bar, keep wrists straight, elbows beside the ribs, shoulders down, feet stable, and torso braced.
Where you should feel it
Through both triceps with band tension increasing toward straight arms, while the forearms maintain the grip and the core keeps the torso still. Control the lighter return range.
When to use it
Use for portable bilateral triceps activation and higher-repetition pushdown work. Smooth sets of 12-25 reps suit the rising band resistance.
