Bicep Curl (Cable)

Also called Curl (Cable), Standing Biceps Curl (Cable), Standing Curl (Cable)

How to do it

Attach a straight or angled bar to a low cable, hold it with an underhand shoulder-width grip, and keep both elbows tucked at your sides. Curl the bar toward your shoulders, squeeze both biceps, then lower under control to full extension without leaning backward.

Setup

Attach a two-handed bar to the low pulley, stand centered with light starting tension, and take an underhand shoulder-width grip. Keep wrists neutral, elbows beside your ribs, shoulders down, and torso braced.

Where you should feel it

Through both biceps during the curl and loaded return, with the forearms holding the bar. Elbows drifting forward or the torso leaning back means the load is too high.

When to use it

Use for bilateral biceps volume with continuous tension and small load adjustments. It works well after heavier curls or compound pulling in the 8-15 rep range.
