Overhead Curl (Cable)

Also called Overhead Cable Curl, High Curls (Cable), High Cable Curls

How to do it

Stand between two high pulleys and hold one handle in each hand with your upper arms raised and elbows extended. Keep your upper arms still as you curl both handles toward your head, squeeze your biceps, then extend your elbows under control to the stretched start. Avoid arching your lower back or letting your elbows drift.

Setup

Stand centered between two high pulleys and hold one handle per hand with upper arms raised around shoulder height. Keep wrists straight, elbows fixed, shoulders down, and torso braced.

Where you should feel it

In both biceps through the arms-raised curl and stretched return, with the front shoulders holding the upper arms and the core keeping the torso still.

When to use it

Use for biceps hypertrophy with the shoulders elevated and constant high-cable tension. Controlled sets of 10-15 reps work well.
