Overhead Curl (Machine)

Also called High Curls (Machine)

How to do it

Sit at the machine and grip the handles overhead with elbows bent. Curl your forearms down and in toward your head, squeezing the biceps, then extend back up under control.

Setup

Adjust the seat and overhead handles so both upper arms are supported or held near shoulder-to-head height and the elbows align with the pivots. Hold evenly with straight wrists and relaxed shoulders.

Where you should feel it

In both biceps along the arms-raised machine path, with the front shoulders maintaining upper-arm position. Stop before any forced shoulder or elbow range.

When to use it

Use for stable arms-raised biceps volume close to fatigue when torso momentum should be minimized. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps fit well.
