Preacher Curl (Machine)

Also called Preacher Curl (Gym Machine), Preacher Curls (Gym Machine), Machine Preacher Curls

How to do it

Sit down on the preacher curl machine, select the weight, and rest your upper arms on the pad with your elbows aligned to the pivot. Curl the handles up toward your shoulders, then lower them slowly back to full extension.

Setup

Adjust the seat and pad so both upper arms are fully supported and the elbows align with the machine pivot. Grip both handles evenly with straight wrists and shoulders relaxed.

Where you should feel it

In both biceps along the fixed path, with the forearms maintaining the grip. The pad should prevent shoulder movement; stop short of any forced elbow position.

When to use it

Use for stable biceps volume close to fatigue when balance is not a training goal. It suits controlled sets of 8-15 reps.
