Reverse Curl (Barbell)

Also called Reverse Barbell Curl, BB Reverse Curl, Standing Reverse Curl (Barbell)

How to do it

Stand up with your torso upright holding a barbell with an overhand grip at shoulder width, elbows tucked to your torso. Curl the bar up toward your shoulders keeping your wrists locked, then lower it slowly back to full extension.

Setup

Stand tall holding the bar at thigh level with a shoulder-width overhand grip. Keep wrists straight, elbows beside the ribs, shoulders down, and torso braced.

Where you should feel it

Strongly through the top and thumb-side forearms with the biceps assisting, while the core prevents backward lean. Keep the knuckles aligned with the forearms.

When to use it

Use for progressively loaded brachioradialis, forearm, and grip development while still training elbow flexion. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps fit well.
