Reverse Curl (Dumbbell)

Also called DB Reverse Curl, Standing Reverse Curl (Dumbbell)

How to do it

Hold a dumbbell in each hand with an overhand grip, elbows pinned to your sides. Curl the dumbbells up toward your shoulders, then lower slowly back to full extension.

Setup

Stand tall with one dumbbell at each thigh and palms facing backward. Keep wrists straight, elbows close to the ribs, shoulders relaxed, and torso braced.

Where you should feel it

Through the top and thumb-side forearms with the biceps assisting, while each hand controls its own bell. Avoid curling the wrists or swinging the torso.

When to use it

Use for forearm and brachioradialis hypertrophy with independent loading of each arm. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps reveal side-to-side grip differences.
