Wide Curl (Barbell)
Also called BB Wide Curl, Wide-Grip Curl (Barbell)
How to do it
Grip a barbell wider than shoulder width with palms facing up, elbows tucked at your sides. Curl the bar up toward your chest, then lower it slowly back to full arm extension.
Setup
Stand tall holding the bar wider than shoulder width with palms up. Keep wrists straight, elbows near the ribs, shoulders down, and torso braced.
Where you should feel it
In both biceps with the forearms supporting the wide underhand grip, while the core prevents backward lean. Keep the elbows from drifting forward.
When to use it
Use for progressively loaded bilateral biceps work with a wider hand position than a standard curl. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps fit well.
