Wide Curl (Dumbbell)

Also called DB Wide Curl, Wide-Grip Curl (Dumbbell)

How to do it

Stand tall holding one dumbbell in each hand slightly outside hip width with palms facing up and elbows near your sides. Curl both bells toward your shoulders without swinging, squeeze the biceps, then lower slowly until the elbows are fully extended.

Setup

Hold one dumbbell in each hand slightly wider than the torso with palms up. Keep wrists straight, elbows near the ribs, shoulders relaxed, and torso braced.

Where you should feel it

In both biceps with the forearms controlling each bell, while the core prevents sway. Maintain the wider hand path without flaring the elbows excessively.

When to use it

Use for biceps hypertrophy with independent loading and a wider hand path than a standard dumbbell curl. Controlled sets of 8-15 reps work well.
