Deadlift (Resistance Band)
How to do it
Stand on the middle of a resistance band with your feet about hip width and hold an end in each hand beside your legs. Push your hips back with a neutral spine and soft knees, then drive through your feet to stand tall. Hinge back down under control without letting the band pull your shoulders forward.
Setup
Stand evenly on the center of a secure band with your feet about hip width and hold one end or handle beside each leg. Match the band length, brace your abdomen, set your lats, and begin from a controlled hinge.
Where you should feel it
Through the hamstrings and glutes with resistance increasing as you stand, while the lats and trunk keep the band close. If the shoulders round forward or lower back takes over, reduce tension and reset the hinge.
When to use it
Use for portable deadlift-pattern practice, warm-ups, or higher-repetition posterior-chain work. The rising resistance emphasizes the top half and suits controlled sets when free weights are unavailable.
