Lateral Raise (Digital Resistance)

Also called Digital Resistance Lateral Raise

How to do it

Stand beside the low digital-resistance cable and hold the handle with the outside hand. Raise that arm out to the side to about shoulder height with a slight elbow bend, then lower under control without shrugging or leaning. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.

Setup

Set one digital-resistance cable low and stand side-on with the working arm away from the anchor. Hold the handle with a straight wrist, soft elbow, square torso, and tension at the bottom.

Where you should feel it

Across the outside of the working shoulder during both the raise and loaded return, with the core preventing lean. Keep the shoulder away from the ear.

When to use it

Use for unilateral mid-delt work with programmable resistance and controlled eccentric loading. Favor deliberate sets of 10-20 reps per side.
