Lateral Raise (Resistance Band)

Also called Lateral Raise - With Bands, Banded Lateral Raise

How to do it

Stand on the middle of a band with a handle in each hand at your sides so tension starts at arm's length. Raise the arms out to the sides to about shoulder height with a slight elbow bend, then lower slowly against the band.

Setup

Stand evenly on the middle of the band and hold one end or handle at each side. Match the band length, keep wrists neutral, elbows softly bent, and shoulders relaxed.

Where you should feel it

Across the outside of both shoulders with resistance increasing toward shoulder height, while the core keeps you upright. Avoid shrugging or snapping into the return.

When to use it

Use for portable mid-delt volume, warm-ups, or high-repetition finishers. Smooth sets of 12-25 reps suit the rising resistance.
