Shoulder Press (Resistance Band)
Also called Band Shoulder Press, Seated Shoulder Press (Resistance Band)
How to do it
Stand on the band with feet shoulder-width, handles at shoulder height. Press the handles overhead to full extension, then lower under control. Keep the core tight and avoid arching the lower back.
Setup
Stand securely on the center of the band with equal length on both sides and hold the ends at shoulder height. Keep wrists stacked, elbows slightly forward, feet planted, and ribs down before pressing.
Where you should feel it
Across the front and side shoulders with resistance increasing toward lockout, plus the triceps near the top. If the lower back takes over, shorten the band or load and keep your ribs stacked.
When to use it
Use for portable shoulder training, warm-up volume, or higher-repetition pressing without weights or a machine. The rising resistance emphasizes the top half and suits controlled sets of roughly 10-20 reps.
