Single-Leg Deadlift (Machine)

How to do it

Stand on one leg in the machine and use only enough handle support to stay aligned. Hinge as the free leg reaches behind you, then drive the planted hip forward to stand without rotating the pelvis. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.

Setup

Adjust the platform and handles so the planted foot is stable and support does not pull you out of alignment. Keep the working knee soft, hips square, and torso braced.

Where you should feel it

Through the hamstrings and glutes of the planted leg, with the hips and ankle stabilizing despite the available hand support. Avoid pushing or pulling with the handles.

When to use it

Use for unilateral hinge practice or posterior-chain volume when external support helps balance. Perform controlled sets of 8-15 reps per side.
