Calf Raise (Machine)
Also called Calf Raise (Gym Machine), Standing Calf Raise (Machine)
How to do it
Set up in the standing calf-raise machine with the pads secured on your shoulders and the balls of both feet on the platform. Lower your heels slowly into a comfortable stretch, rise fully onto your toes, pause at the top, then descend under control without bouncing.
Setup
Adjust the shoulder pads and platform so you can stand tall with the balls of both feet evenly supported and heels free. Secure the pads, align the ankles, and release the safety only after you are balanced.
Where you should feel it
Through both calves during the guided rise and a controlled ankle stretch at the bottom. If the feet slide, ankles roll, or the stretch becomes painful, stop and adjust the platform position or range.
When to use it
Use for stable, loadable standing calf volume when balance and grip are not training goals. The guided setup is well suited to deliberate full-range sets and straightforward progression.
