Cross-Body Raise (Machine)

How to do it

Adjust the seat and start position so one handle begins low across your body near the opposite hip. Raise that handle diagonally upward and outward to about shoulder height, then lower it under control without twisting. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.

Setup

Adjust the seat and handle so one arm starts low across the torso with the shoulder aligned to the machine path. Sit tall with a straight wrist, soft elbow, square hips, and back supported.

Where you should feel it

Across the front and outside of the working shoulder along the guided diagonal path, with the core resisting any twist. Shorten the range if the shoulder pinches.

When to use it

Use for stable unilateral diagonal shoulder volume when torso momentum should be minimized. Controlled sets of 10-20 reps per side fit well.
