Cross-Body Raise (Resistance Band)
How to do it
Anchor a resistance band low beside you and start with the working hand across the body near the opposite hip. Raise the band diagonally upward and outward to about shoulder height, then return slowly without rotating the torso. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.
Setup
Secure the band low to one side and stand so the working hand starts near the opposite hip with light tension. Keep the wrist straight, elbow soft, hips square, and torso braced.
Where you should feel it
Across the front and outside of the working shoulder with resistance increasing toward the top, while the core prevents rotation. Control the band through the return.
When to use it
Use for portable diagonal shoulder work, warm-ups, or higher-repetition unilateral volume. Smooth sets of 12-25 reps per side suit the rising resistance.
