Front Raise (Cable)

Also called Cable Front Raise

How to do it

Stand with a low pulley behind you and hold one handle beside your thigh. With a slight elbow bend, raise the handle forward to about shoulder height, then lower it slowly without leaning backward or shrugging. Complete the set and repeat on the other side.

Setup

Set a single handle on the low pulley behind you and stand far enough forward to keep tension at the bottom. Hold the handle beside one thigh with a straight wrist, soft elbow, and square hips.

Where you should feel it

At the front of the working shoulder throughout the raise, with the core resisting rotation and backward lean. Keep tension out of the neck by avoiding a shrug.

When to use it

Use for unilateral front-delt work with continuous tension and independent side-to-side progression. It works well after pressing for controlled sets of 10-15 reps per side.
