Front Raise (Dumbbell)

Also called Dumbbell Front Raise, DB Front Raise, Front Two-Raise (Dumbbell)

How to do it

Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand resting in front of your thighs, palms facing back. Raise both bells forward together to shoulder height with soft elbows and no torso swing, pause briefly, then lower them slowly to the thighs.

Setup

Stand with one dumbbell in each hand against the front of your thighs, palms facing back. Brace your trunk, keep straight wrists, and maintain a soft elbow bend in both arms.

Where you should feel it

At the front of both shoulders as the bells rise, with the core keeping the body still. If your neck works hardest, reduce the load and stop shrugging.

When to use it

Use for accessible bilateral front-delt isolation and independent loading of each arm. It is best used after pressing in controlled sets of 10-15 reps.
